Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

I really need to submit something decent one of these days! I completely blame my lack of inspiration on the fact that I haven't played any decent games since 2004, I swear. >_> Where are my WindWakers and Symphonias?? If anyone could recommend me anything at least semi-decent, I'd be very grateful. How's Rogue Galaxy meant to be? I've heard it's mediocre, but I want console RPGs and I only have a PS2 and 'Cube. *is stuck in the past*

...*might just give up and replay Symphonia tbh* - I still have Abyss to play too, but it doesn't display properly on my crappy secondhand TV (damned NTSC games >_< ), so no joy there. Shame, since I fought at least one boss and now I can't remember wtf is even going on. :/ *kidnaps Guy*

I don't know if you've played them already or if they've been released in Europe, but the Wild ARMs games are pretty fun! If you don't mind RPGs with stories that get pretty cliche, at times. xD;

Don't know if anyone's mentioned it already, but Legend of Mana for the PS1 is kind of amazing. And by "kind of" I mean "seriously". Just my pure, unbiased opinion.

Since it's old, it might be kind of hard to find...but it's worth it, I swear! I think they came out with another related game for the PS2 (Dawn of Mana, maybe?), but I haven't played it. *shrugs*

Good luck finding some new games to play. I really like your artwork, so I hope you find new inspiration soon!

As omeone said before, the Fire Emblem series, very very cool. I didn't play the GC part, but the GBA games and they are REALLY good, especially the first one (Lyndis, I

you XD). The characters are friggin awesome, the battle system is fun and challenging (once you lose a unit it's gone... FOREVER) and the story is always exciting and well-told.
But yeah, it's a strategy game as well...
Something else: Mario and Luigi RPG on GBA and DS.
Trust me, a funnier and more hilarious RPG doesn't exist. Play the GBA one first and then go one to the DS one.
Oh... I didn't recommend anything for the GC... >_> well, I don't have one, so... yeah...
