Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

This takes the cake. This has me sold. Wii, here I come! XD (uh... as long as it's cheap. PS3 is just a joke. Speaking of PS3, mmm, FFXIII. [link] (weirdly, you can't download the trailer on Gamespot, though you can on IGN. I refuse to link that, though. I have an irrational hatred of that site. XD They've got it on 1UP.com, though, if you're one of the two people who haven't seen it. XD I'm so late with my news!)

I'm liking the look of it so far! Though I can't say I'm thrilled with the idea of a female lead (I thought she was a guy in the artwork O_o ) it all looks pretty cool, as long as there is actually some fantasy in there somewhere, and not just trains and soldiers! It's far too early to tell, of course. And FFXII isn't even out here yet!

Really? I've never played it - it never really appealed to me, though. I kinda wish they'd bring a REAL FF to a nintendo system - one of the main ones, I mean, even if it was also available on PS3 or whatever. I loved FF Tactics Advance, but the storyline and characters were pretty crap... >_>

I keep meaning to buy whichever Dragon Quest came out for the PS2 recently - apparently, the voice actors are european! *would actually buy a game to hear that XD * But I might as well wait for the Wii version... ^_^

I know... there's absolutely no way I'd buy it at that price, either! >_> Irritatingly, even the low-memory (20gb) version is super expensive. They'd do better to release a slightly cut-down version (which could be upgraded later? Can you do that with the 360? I think so... O_o ) at around the same price as the Wii... *sighs*

I've never used the PS2's online service... *has a slim PS2* ...'cause I'm cheap, and it ain't free. XD That's why I want a DS - free online multiplayer! And I'm pretty sure the Wii and PS3 are confirmed to have free online play too... *not sure*

I haven't used it either, and I agree with you. I am cheap too, and I do NOT plan on paying for games I already bought once. lol

The Nintendo DS has free online multiplayer? *has a DS* I only have... okay, this is pathetic but I only have *one* game that is actually a DS game, so I don't know much about them. I never had a Game Boy Advance since it came out like a month after I got my Gameboy Color (poor planning on my part, I know) so I was ODing on being able to play those. lol

And if the console costs a friggin fortune, it's hardly free online play! Especially for people like me who wouldn't play those games *anyway*. >.>

Ooh, you have a DS? *envy* XD yeah, you can play online for free - certain places have 'wi-fi hotspots' where you can take your DS and just play online. I know some McDonalds have 'em, and presumably game shops? (I only know where to find them in the UK! XD) You can also buy a dongle adapter thingummy for your PC which turns your house into a hotspot. It's pretty cool, as you only have to pay for the adapter (though you need to have broadband). You can tell which games work with it as they usually have a little blue wi-fi symbol on the box... I think. XD Which game do you have?

A weird game... Trace Memory? My aunt got it for me for Christmas. I'm not really into Mario and I'm not a dog person so I couldn't really find a game I wanted that was made to work with the DS. There isn't much selection out yet. I wish they made a Nintendocats game. lol I don't know if our McDonalds are wifi, I never heard of that before. But yes. If I had a game that could do it I would try. lol
